THREE METRES [meditative DOCUMENTARY FILM]

WORD FOR WORD NATIONAL NON-FICTION FESTIVAL, AUSTRALIA

We must be strong in our own culture, because if we are not strong, then we just accept whatever comes.

An island paradise sitting quietly in the Pacific Ocean. An unstoppable force of nature causing havoc. An Indigenous culture now fighting for its future.

Encounter a proud island nation left languishing in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. With its people bracing for the seemingly inevitable destruction of their homeland, will the world respond in time, or has everyone stopped listening?

The film, made by the Kiribati Climate Action Network, The Space Company and True South Film, premiered at the Word for Word Festival in November 2020.
